Construct Trip Graphs by Using Taxi Trajectory Data

Abstract The trip graph, which can model the residents’ taxi demands, consists of vertices used to indicate trips and edges follow-up relationships between trips. A $$v_j$$ v j is a tight another $$v_i$$ i , if arrive at departure location within time threshold $$\delta$$ δ after it finishes . However, for big cities, there are large amount every day consuming construct graph. In this paper, we propose efficient algorithms graphs cities. When constructing most expensive step connect exist. To find out fast, design an index considering both spatial temporal constraints. designate appropriate search areas, methods determine distance-based areas traffic-based areas. We conduct experiments on real datasets, i.e., trajectories Shanghai in 2015. experimental results show that our algorithm graph about 40 times faster than straightforward method. also demonstrate usages green transportation applications, minimum fleet analysis total “idle” mileage analysis.
